Raising Astoria started as a couple of new moms meeting over coffee and pastries with their little ones. It quickly became clear that handling the struggles of a new parent was a community effort. Someone needed to take the initiative to set a time and place for folks to convene. That's where Raising Astoria was born.

What began as a neighborhood parent group has grown into a trusted local resource where families can connect, share recommendations, discover events, and navigate parenting in New York City together.

We strive to create a safe space for all parents of Astoria. From daycare advice and family activities to local guides and community gatherings, Raising Astoria exists to make raising children in Astoria feel a little more connected, informed, and supported.
